Studying

The Master Degree is a two year programme amounting to 120 ECTS. Student admissions take place every second year and the student quota for the University of Turku is 9.

The programme will be based on contact teaching and web-based seminars, which will allow students to benefit from interaction with students and teachers from all the partner universities. However, every successful applicant is expected to study part of the degree as an exchange student at one of the partner universities.

In a programme aiming to understand and support cultural diversity, language skills will be essential. The common language of teaching will be English, but it is desirable that students should study part of the degree in their national language. Web-based courses, in which students from all partner universities take part, are in English. In the degree students can include a training period or project works, undertaken in cooperation with both the public and private sectors. These projects require teamwork and combine theory and practical applications. A project can consist, for example, of planning or advertising a cultural exhibition.

The degree, which is not a double degree, will be awarded by the home university. However, information on all the joint programme partners must be found in the diploma.
